Central Michigan University’s Board of Trustees in December 2012 adopted a new vision and five strategic priorities. These combine with the university’s mission and core values to create a living, evolving plan that will build on CMU’s 120 years of success.
As the plan creates a long-term focus for the university, all colleges, departments and work groups are asked to:
- Align goals, actions and resources with the strategic priorities.
- Assess proposed new programs, services and activities for their impact on CMU and its priorities.
- Measure efforts going forward in accordance with the priorities.
The vision, five strategic priorities and critical initiatives identified for each priority were adopted after 18 months of collaboration across the campus and community.
